IA/Cybersecurity Specialist

Key Role:

Analyze general information assurance technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Support the integration of information assurance solutions and technologies into networks with attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design. Analyze and define security requirements for local and wide area networks. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet network security requirements. Maintain responsibility for integration and implementation of the network security solution. Perform vulnerability and risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle. Configure testbeds and conduct testing, record and analyze results, including providing recommendations for improvements for the product and systems under testing.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-Experience with the design, development, engineering, and implementation of solutions that meet security requirements

-Ability to analyze and define security requirements for computer systems, including mainframes, workstations, and personal computers

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with integration and implementation of a computer system security solution

-Knowledge of security principles and methods

-Ability to gather and organize technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing computer security programs

-Ability to perform risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle
-Ability to test developed systems at each point of entry for ease of unregulated entry, including systems resources denial, system information corruption, unlawful use of system resources, and vulnerability to electronic disruption

-BA or BS degree in an IT-related field
