Immersive Content Designer, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a mid-level designer on a talented team with the opportunity to collaborate with fellow designers, artists, and engineers from diverse technical backgrounds to take on the challenge of serious and educational game development in a creative and fast-paced environment. Re-define how we teach with technology by consulting with clients, explore topics, and establish the vision for interactivity and user experience throughout a project. Establish core features and iterate the design of projects by collaborating with the team and subject matter experts. Implement innovative game mechanics, story lines, and interactions. Create and maintain design documentation to guide the team while working with production staff to ensure the project is engaging, informative, and fun. Test design and fulfill quality assurance role.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience as a professional game designer

-Experience with Agile development practices

-Experience with portfolio displaying past projects, including documentation examples

-Knowledge of the Quality Assurance (QA) process

-Ability to create clear and concise, visually oriented design materials that explain mechanics, systems, and features

-Ability to work on 3-5 different projects simultaneously and collaborate with team members to solve complex design challenges

-Ability to build quality assurance game design process documentation

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in designing multi-platform games, educational games, or board games

-Experience in working with instructional systems designers

-Experience with UI/UX design

-Ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation to develop

-Ability to be self-motivated and be productive under limited supervision

-Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

-Secret clearance preferred
