Industrial Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Serve as a part of an integrated team of engineers and Cybersecurity experts and help to expand the firm's Industrial Control System (ICS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Cybersecurity team. Consult with clients on the secure design of ICS and SCADA environments, conduct Cybersecurity risk assessments, train operators and engineers, develop security documentation, and design and implement industrial Cybersecurity monitoring solutions. Work onsite at various industrial and government facilities and perform onsite assessment activities, including physical security walks, observations, technical configuration reviews, and personnel interviews. Work across several industries, including water and wastewater, oil and gas, energy, manufacturing, and defense. This position will require the ability to travel based on client and project need.


Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with industrial control system Cybersecurity, industrial control system design, and industrial networks

-Experience with various vendors and types of ICS and SCADA equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and network protocols

-Experience with Cybersecurity standards and best practices for ICS and SCADA systems and how to integrate them

-Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices

-Ability to create Cybersecurity documentation
-Ability to obtain a security clearance


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC-CIP, NEI 08-09, or other industrial control regulations

-Experience with evaluating security vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies for networking systems

-Experience with analyzing security risk assessment tool results, including DoD SCAP or Nessus

-Experience with developing Cybersecurity policy and procedure documentation for system accreditations

-Possession of excellent research and analytical skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree

-Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other ICS or Cybersecurity-related Certification
