Information Assurance/Cybersecurity System Engineer, Junior

Key Role:
Provide IA and Cybersecurity expertise, including consultation with the customer in the development of SMC/AD satellite TT&C systems. Provide subject matter expertise to the Air Force in various Cybersecurity areas, including the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and Risk Management Framework (RMF). Perform security assessment and compliance activities by using assessment tools and procedures and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Consult headquarters–level decision makers on the technical implementation of solutions for promoting the sustainment of Cybersecurity across multiple technology areas. Support the research of emerging technology, requisite security requirements, and emerging threats and develop a way forward to meet organizational goals. Provide assessments of Air Force mission systems’ Cyber risks or architectures. Act as the primary or supporting author for Cybersecurity risk reports to highlight current architecture, mitigations, and Cybersecurity risk posture.

Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with acquisition configuration management, Cybersecurity, and sustainment efforts 
-Experience with systems administration, including Windows
-Experience with Microsoft Office products
-Experience with writing security documentation
-Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance and Cybersecurity practices and procedures, including DIACAP and RMF and DoD policy and guidance, such as DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800–53, and CNSSI 1253
-Ability to review systems architectures and connectivity, develop risk assessments and mitigations, and improve the overall system security posture
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-5 years of experience in IA or Cybersecurity work
-Experience with satellite command and control or space systems
-Experience with RMF or DIACAP Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V)
-Experience with Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E)
-Experience with systems engineering
-Experience with network engineering
-Experience with communications systems
-Experience with DoD satellite programs
-Experience with DoD interaction
-Experience with the cross–domain enterprise solution (CDES)
-MA or MS degree in CS or Engineering with an IA or Cybersecurity Emphasis
-CISSP, SANS, CEH, or other security Certification
