Information Assurance Engineer

Key Role:

Consult on integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverages Cybersecurity solutions to administer Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events and data spillage and incident response actions. Perform a variety of routine project tasks and apply specialized information assurance problems, including the integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems, relate to IA requirements. Analyze information security requirements and conduct security assessments.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with IT

-Experience with recent incident responses and vulnerability management

-Experience with ArcSight, HBSS, Retina, Websense, Cyber forensics, Cloud computing, malware analysis, or command Cyber readiness inspections

-Knowledge of DoD information assurance and RMF standards

-Ability to comprehend network vulnerability scanners, including Retina, ACAS, or Nessus and patch management software, such as WSUS, SCCM, SMS, or Hercules

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering

-Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification

Additional Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Joint Staff, Combatant Command and Service General Staff in military, civilian or contractor in the areas of operations, training or network engineering

-Experience with Firewalls and IPS, IDS, and Web content filtering

-Experience with DoD Public Key Infrastructure for the tactical environment, event logging and analysis for a Defensive Cyber Infrastructure, Cross Domain Solutions and accreditation, cryptographic key management, or overarching Cyber forensic analytics capabilities

-Experience with related toolsets to detect and respond to IT security incidents or command Cyber readiness inspections

-Knowledge of policies, directives, or regulatory guidance in Cybersecurity field

-Knowledge of implementing and enforcing security policies across the organization

-Ability to leverage CND

-IAT Level II certification, including GSEC, Security+, or SSCP and CND

-IR certification, including GCIH, CSIH, or CEH


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
