Information Design and Visualization Specialist

Key Role:

Provide visual communications, information design, and data visualization support to external client engagements, internal marketing efforts, and business development engagements. Manage end-to-end storyboarding and creation of infographics, presentations, and publications, including data collection, data analysis, data visualization, graphics design, and publication design. Serve as an advisor for visual storytelling and data visualization, helping clients and internal team members visualize and communicate complex data sets, challenges, and solutions. Maintain responsibility and accountability for the completion and accuracy of work products. Manage expertise through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with peers and clients. Work in a high-visibility, fast-paced position that requires strong workload management and the ability to multi-task.


Basic Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience with graphics design
-2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
-Knowledge of information visualization and design techniques and theory
-Ability to gather raw data from various sources and develop comprehensive, visually engaging designs, visualizations, and presentations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications: 
-Knowledge of Tableau
-Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

-Ability to show an excellent portfolio showcasing broad design expertise
-Ability to be a self–starter and multitask across multiple projects and clients in a fast–paced and team–based environment
-Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines effectively

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-DHS Suitability clearance
-MA or MS degree
