Information Security Engineer and Planner, Senior

Key Role:

Apply direct knowledge of Joint and Army Cyberspace operations (CO)–related strategy, policy, doctrine, and operations to conduct strategic and operational planning in accordance with the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and a military decision–making process (MDMP). Provide managerial oversight, leadership, technical expertise, and operational support. Assess and leverage knowledge of industry best practices, benchmark data, and published security standards to support security engineering and architecture of IT initiatives. Develop innovative solutions to mission requirements facing Army Cyber Command, its Joint Force Headquarters–Cyber, and related subordinate organizations as they plan and conduct Joint and Army CO in support of Combatant Command and Army requirements. Develop strategies, concepts of operations, concept plans, Joint and Army plans and orders, and all other JPP– and MDMP–related products, as required. Plan, participate in, or lead meetings, operational planning teams, working groups, and similar collaborative groups.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with military, including Army or Joint planning at a 2–star General Officer–level headquarters or above using the Joint Planning Process and Military Decision–Making Process to analyze or develop a wide range of military plans and orders

-5+ years of experience with Cyberspace or IT system or network planning, engineering, implementation, and management

-Experience with current DoD, Service or Joint, and Cyberspace system and network concepts and constructs

-Knowledge of current principal Joint and Army Cyberspace operations–related policy, doctrine, regulations, directives, strategies, concepts, and operational plans and orders
-Knowledge of today's Joint and Army Cyberspace operations enterprises, including its major commands, related stakeholders, their relationships, and relationships to other DoD and US government organizations
-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree  

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, HQDA, and Joint Staff (JS) staff processes and procedures

-Network+, Security+, CISM, CASP, or CEH Certification

-Completion of the Army's Basic Computer Network Operations Planners Course (BCNOPC), Advanced Cyber Operations Planner Course (ACOPC), or a commensurate Joint Cyber Planning Course
