Information Security Engineer

Key Role:

Apply broad comprehension of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Advise on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and use Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, and data spillage, and incident response actions. Test, implement, deploy, and operate the infrastructure, hardware, and software required to manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services effectively. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.
 

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with a Technology Protection Plan (TPP)

-Experience with analyzing the development of a Program Protection Plan (PPP) and scheduling activities to support DoD milestone decisions

-Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Experience with following Army Acquisition and DA PAM 70-3: Army Acquisition Implementation

-Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)'s RMF and special publications

-Ability to conduct systems, risk, and vulnerability analysis

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 6+ years of experience with information security or information assurance in a government environment

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Army IA processes and procedures

-Experience with the intelligence community (IC)

-Experience with the configuration management of military software, including source code, documentation, and fieldable products

-Experience with software development and testing

-Experience with the design and operation of airborne military communications systems

-Knowledge with DoD security and program protection and declassification operations

-Knowledge of major DoD systems or programs

-Knowledge of DoD 8500, AR 25-2, AR 70-1, and DA PAM 70-3 Army Acquisition Implementation

-TS/SCI clearance

-DoD 8570 Certification​

-Microsoft IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) on Windows 2003 or 2008 Server, Windows 7 MCSE, or equivalent Operating System or Cisco Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
