Information Security Engineer

Key Role:

Provide support by performing Information Assurance (IA) scans and developing IA accreditation packages and other IA documentation for review and submission in meeting DoD milestones. Assist with the execution of the Program Protection Plans (PPP), Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), System Security Engineering (SSE), acquisition security, and industrial security programs throughout the acquisition life cycle to aid in the development, fielding, and deployment of operational and test assets worldwide. Act as the Information Assurance Security Officer (IASO), ensuring the implementation of Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) dissemination, reporting, and compliance procedures. Provide technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions to manage information risks. Develop or recommend integrated security system and physical control solutions that ensure proprietary and confidential data and systems are protected. Create and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Control Traceability Matrixes (SCTM), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), and all other RMF documentation required for supported systems.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with the Technology Protection Plan (TPP)

-Experience with analyzing the development of the Program Protection Plan (PPP) and scheduling activities in support of DoD milestone decisions

-Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Control Correlation Identifier (CCI)

-Experience with following the Army Acquisition and DA PAM 70-3 Army Acquisition Implementation

-Knowledge of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF and Special Publications

-Ability to conduct systems, risk, and vulnerability analysis

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 6+ years of experience with information security or information assurance in a government environment

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Army IA processes and procedures

-Experience with the intelligence community

-Experience with the configuration management of military software, including source code, documentation, and fieldable products

-Experience with software development and testing

-Experience with the design and operation of airborne military communications systems

-Knowledge with DoD security and program protection and declassification operations

-Knowledge of the DoD and major systems or programs

-Knowledge of DoD 8500, AR 25-2, AR 70-1, and DA PAM 70-3 Army Acquisition Implementation

-Ability to possess a government issued token

-TS/SCI clearance

-DoD 8570 Certification​

-Microsoft IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) on Windows 2003 or 2008 Server, Windows 7 MCSE, or equivalent Operating Systems Certification or Cisco Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
