Information Systems Security Engineer, Senior

Key Role:
Assess and mitigate system security risks throughout the program life cycle as an Information Assurance (IA) engineer. Validate system security requirements, establish system security designs, and implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures. Verify security requirements, perform system assessment and authorization activities, and support secure systems operations and maintenance. Interface with EDS program leads and government counterparts to establish security guidance in alignment with program objectives and schedules across multiple projects.

Basic Qualifications:
-1 year of experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF), including system package development and processing
-Experience with performing Cybersecurity activities supporting software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment
-Experience with supporting DoD programs
-Experience with implementing DoD Cybersecurity requirements and analyzing policies and procedures, including assessment and authorization activities
-Experience with conducting vulnerability and compliance assessments and risk mitigation
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree or 5 years of experience with information assurance
-CISSP or CASP Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), and DoD STIGs
-Experience with secure configuration or hardening of DoD information systems
-Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Microsoft Windows Server or Workstation
-Knowledge of satellite ground systems, satellite communications, and satellite operations
-Knowledge of NIST 800-53
-Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff
-TS/SCI clearance preferred
