Information Systems Security Engineer

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of monitoring, analyzing, detecting, and responding to Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks. Contribute to an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, and data spillage, and incident response actions. Develop and implement the infrastructure hardware and software which are required to effectively manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services. Provide leadership and mentoring for lower level employees. Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Work on unusually complex problems and provide solutions that are highly creative. Act as a leader on large programs and projects that affect the organizations long-term goals and objectives.


Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience as a security engineer

-Experience with system security design processes, defense-in-depth, engineering life-cycle, information domains, principles of confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation, and access control, and security testing

-Experience as an ISSE on programs

-Experience with validation and verification of system security requirements definitions and analysis and establishing system security designs

-Experience with designing, developing, implementing, and integrating IA and security systems and system components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments, such as those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection or classification requirements

-Experience with assessing and mitigating system security threats or risks throughout the program life cycle

-Experience with contributing to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, and certification and awareness activities for system and networking operations

-Experience with certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation and providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its content

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph​

-BA or BS degree in Computer Engineering or 9 years of experience with security engineering may be substituted for Bachelor's degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cloud computing, scalable architectures, and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

-Experience with SIEM technologies, Splunk, antivirus, endpoint protection, Cross Domain Solutions, Identity Management, and Microsoft Security Services

-CISSP Certification


Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
