Information Systems Training Specialist, Mid

The Challenge:

Do you want to develop training that will transform the Army and DoD customer education, training and learning processes? As an instructional designer, developer and trainer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have impact without the right training. Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical information technologies and business solution tools that requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer, developer and trainer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in delivering computer-related training to the user community by crafting effective training.

On our team, you’ll work with SME, instructors, product designers, managers, strategic communicators, change managers to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish to educate users on information systems through multiple techniques including in-person, instructor-led virtual training, self-led interactive media, and on-line support documentation. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll design coordinate, develop, and deliver computer-related training to the user community and converts written material and training requirements to interactive courseware. You’ll build training material with an understanding of the Army and DoD customer processes, automation, training and learning requirements, following the ADDIE model.

You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to come up with new ideas to develop an engaging, interactive learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, to include developing or modifying training solutions for adult learners from self-guided to instructor led training. Maintain training content to ensure it is always relevant, accurate, and up-to-date. Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content to build a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs, instructors, product designers, managers, strategic communicators, and change managers throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then fine tune your training for maximum impact. You Have:

-2+ years of experience in instructional development variety of learning styles, including in-person and virtual

-1+ years of experience with instructional system design for adult learners

-Ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams

-Ability to convert written material and training requirements to interactive courseware

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

-Knowledge of computer functions and related technical terminology

-Ability to deliver computer-related training

-Possession of excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Education
