Infrastructure and Facilities Specialist

Key Role:

Work under general supervision and perform complex facility planning and scheduling tasks as guided by basic plan, schedule, and budget determinations. Maintain responsibility for the definition of requirements and selection of approaches to the solution, develop new or unusual solutions based on advanced principles within the facilities and construction trades, and work with extensive freedom for independent action. Estimate, plan, schedule, and prepare layouts, coordinate and provide follow-up, and report on major facility and maintenance projects, new construction, and modifications. Prepare facilities estimates and site proposals for management review as to cost and feasibility and plan and schedule approved projects for completion by in-house personnel and outside contractors. Coordinate all phases between user, plant resources, outside vendors, and contractors to accomplish preferred results in an economic and timely manner. Conduct follow-up on cost, budgets, job control, material, tools, and related items pertaining to projects. Compile and present reports regarding schedule progress, cost analysis, and forecast.


Basic Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with planning in a military infrastructure or urban planning environment

-Experience with project management

-Knowledge of MILCON planning and associated MILCON documents

-Knowledge of the Defense Policy Review Initiative of the US Marine Corps

-Knowledge of GIS tools and techniques

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required


Additional Qualifications: (Preferred)

-MA or MS degree

-PMP Certification
