Installations Sustainability Subject Matter Expert

Key Role:
Support the Army National Guard Sustainability team in maintaining compliance with EO 13693 and other sustainable and clean energy policies. Provide clean energy and sustainability input to the review of 420R and 1390/91 review. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to state National Guard Facilities staff regarding projects focusing on energy or water efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resiliency. Support and review the lifecycle cost analysis associated with National Guard sustainability projects. Use the latest industry informs and standards to validate estimates in efficiency project planning documents. Develop, deliver, and coordinate Army National Guard sustainability training materials at national training events. Coordinate and validate the requirements for Base Operations Services (BOS) for utilities and waste reporting and support and validate the data being entered in the Army Energy and Water Reporting System (AEWRS) and Solid Waste Annual Reporting (SWARWEB).  

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with Army Sustainability and Energy policy

-1 year of experience with the Army Sustainability reporting system

-1 year of experience with providing training to Army audiences

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with providing direct support to the National Guard sustainability program

-Experience with the Army National Guard

-Knowledge of HQDA installation management systems of record

-Ability to consolidate CEWE input to create drafts for CEWE ARNG

-Ability to coordinate installation level input for the Army Annual Energy Management Report
-Public Trust clearance
