Instructional Designer Intern

The Challenge:

Do you want to develop training that will transform Soldier readiness You know that even the best tools and processes can’t have impact without the right training? Constructing an interactive course that teaches critical skills requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer and developer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in Soldier readiness by crafting effective training.

As an intern, you’ll work with SMEs and instructors to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their goals. You’ll learn how to put the learner at the center of the training experience as you design Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI). You’ll help create training material with other instructional designers following the ADDIE model. This is a chance to use your technical skills and creativity to come up with new ideas to make engaging, interactive learning experiences on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use cutting-edge multimedia technologies and strategies, including blended learning and gamification to build a successful learning environment. Communication is key, so we’ll meet with SMEs, instructors, and product designers throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using evaluation methodologies such as the Kirkpatrick Model, then work with the team to fine-tune your training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students. Join us as we improve Soldier Readiness through learner-centered instructional design and development.

Empower change with us.
