Instructional Designer/Training Developer

Key Role:

Leverage experience in supporting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with training needs analyses and design, development, and delivery of sound e-learning, Web-based, virtual, self-guided, and instructor led courses using a defined industry recognized methodology. Design and support performance support solutions, including user guides, online help, job aids, and lesson plans for instructor led and Web-based training solutions. Maintain a primary focus on supporting training solutions for public health related topic areas. Work closely with clients, subject matter experts, and team members, including project managers, communication and evaluation specialists, and public health specialists to support training strategies and Web-based and instructor led learning solutions. Leverage experience in supporting the CDC Center for Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (CSELS) to deliver CDC focused external facing learning solutions. Work in the federal government, including with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This position is located in Atlanta, GA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with learning analysis, strategy, and design and development using defined instructional design methodologies
-3+ years of experience as an instructional designer, educator, or consultant in development of learning solutions with measurable outcomes

-Ability to use Microsoft Office applications
-Ability to use one or more instructional design and collaboration tools standard in the industry, including Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Snag–it, online help system tools, and other Adobe design tools, such as Photoshop or Dreamweaver
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree
  
Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in working with the CDC's CSELS
-Experience with developing training for public health programs
-Experience with single source LCMS and mobile design a plus

-Ability to work collaboratively and be flexible with clients and staff with minimal supervision

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-MA or MS degree in Instructional Design preferred

-E–Learning Certifications preferred
