Instructional Developer, Mid

Key Role:

Apply knowledge of instructional design to the design and development of financial management training products for a Navy client. Interact regularly with the financial management team to update and development instructor-led and computer-based training modules on specific financial topics and coordinate with counterparts across the client enterprise, as necessary. Support the identification of learning goals, analyze the development of learning strategies, and prioritize plans for development. Perform front-end analysis to analyze maintenance plans and course update targets. Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze and update courseware. Analyze the development of instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media using industry standard development tools, including Articulate and Captivate and support the integration of course content on Navy learning management systems. Consult regularly with the client and SMEs to ensure the effectiveness and technical accuracy of instructional content and analyze the development of manuals, workbooks, and audio and video tapes and discs. This position is located in Charleston, SC.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with instructional design methodologies or teaching

-Experience with standard Navy terminology

-Knowledge of Microsoft Office

-Knowledge of Instructional development tools, including Articulate or Captivate

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with instructor-led and computer-based training development and delivery methods

-Experience with financial management

-Experience with Navy ERP

-Experience with the implementation of OPNAVINST 1500.76, NAVEDTRA 130 series, and other DoD manpower or training policies

-Knowledge of learning content management systems

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in Education or Instructional Systems Design preferred
