Instructional Systems Designer, Mid

Key Role:
Work in a fast-paced development team environment, including leveraging expertise in instructional systems design to create innovative interactive and immersive training solutions. Gather and document project requirements, conduct needs assessments and gap analyses, and research and write instructional content based on interviews with subject matter experts and client-provided materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game design and engineering to analyze the design and development of creative instructional solutions that leverage the client’s technical environment. Design assessments and prepare detailed descriptions of all required art assets. Participate in sprint planning meetings, daily standups, and client product reviews. Communicate status updates to the production team and project manager.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience with instructional systems design for adult learners

-3+ years of experience with designing e-learning solutions for adult learners

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with game design

-Experience with Agile development practices

-Experience with JIRA

-Experience with creating explainer videos

-Experience with designing instruction for military learners

-Knowledge of Section 508c compliance requirements

-Knowledge of SCORM standards

-Ability to collaborate and build relationships with cross-functional teams

-Ability to work with geographically separated teammates, clients, and subject matter experts

-Possession of excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and time management skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or a related field
