Instructional Systems Designer, Senior

Key Role:
Work with clients to build new capabilities and increase workforce performance by applying industry best practices to the full training product analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation life cycle. Support the creative process of designing effective training solutions by researching a client's situation, identifying expectations, competencies, and expected learning outcomes, evaluating the efficacy of existing learning resources and tools, performing needs assessment activities, and bringing effective, innovative learning solutions to the client to best meet the learning requirements. Support the design and delivery of multi-discipline learning programs and apply expertise in instructional design and eLearning to streamline learning deployment through instructor-led training, Web-based training, virtual classrooms, and the use of mobile, social, video, microlearning, and authoring tools. Work closely with subject matter experts, and clients, and other ISDs to analyze data carefully, design effective training program solutions, and develop strategies that leverage instructional design and training evaluation models. Develop and nurture client relationships and work closely with other L&D practitioners, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts to analyze and implement learning strategies, programs, and processes.
 

Basic Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience with working in teams to conduct learning analyses and learning strategy development, including performing needs assessments, requirements development, and analyses
-5+ years of experience with designing, developing, and implementing instructor-led and eLearning products
-5+ years of experience as an instructional designer or educator or consultant in a professional learning environment
-2+ years of experience with developing SCORM and Section 508-compliant eLearning resources
-Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based government or professional services environment 
-Ability to navigate a deadline-driven and highly responsive environment with multiple stakeholders and quickly changing requirements
-Ability to create effective supporting course documentation, including design documents, storyboards, art, style guides, and learning objectives
-MA or MS degree in Education, Instructional Design, or Instructional Technology
 

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), including Joint Knowledge Online (JKO) or a Learning Content Management System (LCMS), including Blackboard
-Experience with eLearning authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate
-Experience with designing and implementing eLearning solutions using social, mobile, video, and micro-learning methods
-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills, including using concise, easy-to-comprehend language
