Instructional Systems Designer

Key Role:

Serve as an instructional systems designer responsible for using an instructional systems design approach to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional and performance improvement material in various formats. Maintain responsibility for identifying training needs, presenting recommendations, and delivering learning solutions to address performance gaps. Use instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials and performance improvement programs. Work with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and develop training interventions that incorporate best practices in behavioral and cognitive sciences to effectively address business and performance issues. Maintain ownership of all instructional materials to ensure that instructional quality is built into final project deliverables. Design and develop learning solutions for multiple delivery methods, including instructor-led, Web-based, virtual classroom, and blended instruction.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with learning and development, student-centered curriculum development, and customer service

-Experience with designing instructor-led, Web-based, and performance support learning solutions

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project

-Ability to interact effectively with government clients at various levels

-Ability to work as part of a tightly integrated team and collaborate across functional and organizational boundaries

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Distance Learning, English, or Human Performance Technology or 2+ years of experience with designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Articulate Storyline 2 and 3

-Experience with the intelligence community and NGA

-Experience with e-Learning standards, including SCORM and Section 508 requirements, Web usability standards and practices, and evaluation models, such as Kirkpatrick

-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills

-Possession of excellent critical thinking skills, including objective thinking
