Interior Design Specialty Project Manager

Key Role:
Serve as a project manager in an interior design specialty and maintain responsibility for managing individual and multi-disciplined real estate project solutions with direct accountability for project delivery and personnel. Provide analytical support for the management of budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk during all phases of project life cycle, including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout. Conduct standard to complex requests for proposals, complete bid analyses, lead design and proposal evaluation interviews, and recommend resources to clients. Plan and monitor staffing levels and usage of labor. Implement change management routines to assess change requests, secure client approvals, and issue change orders.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with interior design in the commercial, government, or industrial sectors

-Ability to interact directly with clients to define furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) project requirements and identify project delivery resources

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Additional Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with coordinating trades for delivery of interior renovations

-3+ years of experience with furniture procurement, selection of finishes, creation of material boards, and giving client presentations for proposed schemes

-Experience with Microsoft Office

-Knowledge of Microsoft Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices

-Knowledge of financial terms and principles

-Ability to read, comprehend, and apply standards to complex project documents affecting real estate projects, including agreements and contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings

-Ability to coordinate with architects and engineers to implement design and construction documents

-Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and specifications

-Ability to motivate and negotiate with stakeholders, including employees, management, and client groups

-Ability forecast and prepare budgets

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on client presentations

-Possession of excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred

-Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification or membership in International Interior Design Association (IIDA)

-LEED AP Certification preferred
