Internal Talent Mobility Specialist

Key Role:

Actively engage with internal staff to mobilize and deploy these staff to firm opportunities and apply consultative and client services skills to engage employees and provide suggestions based on their goals, interests, and experience to better position them for their next opportunity, and ensure deployment services are provided in a fully engaged, pro-active, and empathetic approach.  Design Accelerator plans developed for staff that draw on firm deployment services, including 1) education on Accelerator tools and resources, 2) guidance on Workday profile and resume maintenance, 3) access to functional learning and development, 4) matching to productive work (billable and/or internal assignments), and 5) advice on firm engagement activities based on goals and interests.  Ensure team’s consistent delivery of deployment services to cohorts of staff (by FSO/FMT, region, cleared, etc.) and serve as the team’s central POC with knowledge of talent status (available, booked, etc.) for assigned talent cohort(s). Actively participate in sessions to match talent to project opportunities, provide prioritized match summaries to hiring/job managers via Workday; and track and disposition matches and provide insight into sessions on talent interests, goals, performance, etc. Maintain staff assignments and manage workload to meet deployment targets while responsible for data management and data entry activities in support of Accelerator deployment functions.  Support reporting on bench, available staff and internal placement metrics as aligned to deployment targets, and client satisfaction metrics, and track and provide to team lead insights on talent training requirement and/or opportunities for process/client service improvement, and support the identification of internal staff for the bid and proposal process, and support training and development activities as required.  This position is based out of the Washington Metro Area or a Booz Allen office and/or talent hub with 3 days minimum in Booz Allen office, Talent Center, and/or client site. This position requires travel between 25-50% of the time.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in internal staffing/deployment, talent acquisition, or talent development

-Experience working in the field of career mobility, either client-facing or in-house

-Demonstrated ability to assess internal candidates, present them for deployment and placement

-Demonstrated ability to deliver new or best practice deployment initiatives

-Track record of effectively building and growing relationships with internal candidates and job managers

-Demonstrated ability to translate trends and metrics into tangible staffing plans and outcomes

-Track record of meeting and/or exceeding hiring (internal deployments or external hires) targets

-Strong proficiency in verbal and written communications including reports

-Proficiency in MS Office suite including firm provisioned tools, i.e. MS Teams, Web/video conference, etc. Proven ability to adapt to new tools and technologies

-Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of experience in internal staffing/deployment, talent acquisition, or talent development

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with implementing internal career mobility best practices

-Experience pro-actively engaging internal mobility candidates and advocating for appropriate matching opportunities on behalf of candidates is preferred

-Track record of action orientation leading to measurable outcomes

-Internal knowledge of Booz Allen a plus
