Intrusion Detection Systems Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Perform computer security incident response activities, including coordinating with other government agencies to record and report incidents. Monitor and analyze intrusion detection systems (IDSes) to identify security issues for remediation. Recognize potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of event detail and summary information. Evaluate firewall change requests and assess organizational risks. Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devices. Serve as a technical team or task leader, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with intrusion detection monitoring, incident management activities, and data security administration

-Experience with performing periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, and file system and external Web integrity scans to determine compliance

-Knowledge of the incident response process

-Knowledge of the network attack lifecycle
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, IT, or Cyber

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with endpoint detection and response tools, including Carbon Black, Encase Cybersecurity, and Tanium
-Possession of excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-DoD 8570 IAT Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
