Investment Analysis Lead

Key Role:

Ensure that costs for the organization's products and services are allocated according to corporate procedures and in compliance with GAAP, Cost Accounting Standards, and Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR). Gather historical cost data, including materials, labor, depreciation, and operating expenses, allocate costs, and prepare reports to compare budgets with actual expenses. Prepare existing or projected expense or profitability analyses. Develop competency in project and financial management and become more involved in managing teams and formulating business strategy. Guide the progress of projects while mentoring junior staff in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with providing budget and financial analysis support and oversight

-Experience in cost estimating, financial management processes, budget formulation, business case preparation, budget execution, accounting principles, internal controls, and current technologies

-Experience in working with multi-year or no-year appropriations and differing appropriations, including O&M and Procurement

-Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access

-Knowledge of financial and accounting policies and systems requirements

-Knowledge of activity-based costing, business case analysis, and outsourcing requirements

-Knowledge of capital planning and investment control

-Ability to supervise or lead a team of financial analysts required

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with commercial statistical and risk analysis software packages, including @Risk and Crystal Ball Pro a plus

-Possession of excellent presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MBA degree preferred

-PMP Certification
