ISR Security Office Support Specialist

Key Role:

Ensure the organization's compliance with DoD security requirements. Manage administrative activities related to security clearances for the organization's employees, ensure the security of restricted access facilities and sensitive records, and advise management on related issues. Lead a specialized area of support. Leverage full knowledge of procedures in the area of expertise. Provide work direction to lower level support employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with providing technical subject matter expertise support on DoD special security programs, including Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security matters

-Experience with enforcing all operational, functional, and mission assurance aspects of a DoD security program

-Knowledge of required support and guidance for physical and information security issues for Air Force and National Guard Bureau field units

-Knowledge of AF SSO policies and procedures and DoD 1505.21-M-1

-Ability to act as a focal point for issues involving special security matters and work with DoD, Air Force, DoD Consolidated Adjudication Facility (DoDCAF), and other national level agencies to evaluate, guide, and adjust unit programs to meet changing needs and requirements

-Ability to assist SSO by researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying presidential Executive Orders, DCIDs, DoD Manuals, AF Manuals, AFIs, and other applicable operating instructions

-Ability to direct overall supervision and management of the ANG SCI program and provide process improvements and structure to maximize productivity and quality

-Ability to develop and conduct security education, establish security profiles, conduct reviews, and disseminate SCI message traffic and other products for ANG clients

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

Additional Qualifications:

-Ability to coordinate with MAJCOM SSOs on SCI policies, directives, and procedures and disseminate changes to field units

-Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time in support of SCIF inspections, site visits, and SATAFs

-Ability to manage pre-construction, concept approval, and accreditation processes for ANG SCI Facilities (SCIF)

-Ability to provide foreign travel briefings, investigations, and manage all aspects of the security violation program

-Ability to provide guidance to SCI indoctrinated personnel on proper handling, transporting, marking, and protection of SCI

-Possession of excellent oral and written communications skills

-AA or AS degree or higher preferred
