IT and Architecture Modernization and Sustainment Solution Architect

Key Role:

Develop and capture thorough definitions of internal and external system interfaces and define system migration approach and operational concepts centered on IT and architecture modernization and sustainment. Provide solutions to seamlessly transition from research, development, test, and evaluation (3600) and procurement (3080) investments to operations and maintenance (3400) sustainment. Evaluate performance with the client to ensure requirements are met. Apply advanced ITIL technical principles, theories, and concepts, including service transition, work on complex technical problems, and present highly innovative solutions. Develop advanced technological ideas and guide their deployment toward transition and sustainment planning. Serve as an advanced consultant with knowledge of IT and architecture, including OA, GB 4.1, SR 3.0.1, ATM, Infiniband, and crew communications development, test, delivery, operations, and sustainment. Act as an advisor to management and senior leadership on advanced migration and sustainment methodologies.


Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with AF DCGS operations, modernization, planning, policy and acquisition and sustainment support
-Knowledge of materiel management functions for a DoD weapon system, including weapon system sustainment planning intended to cover the total lifecycle of the weapon system

-Ability to provide strategic and technical advice regarding AF DCGS weapon system software, hardware, infrastructure, and sustainment issues

-Ability to generate and present findings, presentations, and reports and engage with government clients, executive leadership, staff support, and internal and external stakeholders

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering or CS and 5 years of experience with AF-DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment or 10 years of experience with AF-DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree


Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with tactical intelligence collection systems and sensors, SIGINT, GEOINT, Multi-INT, intelligence product production and dissemination, communication systems, and ATM and IP networking technologies

-Experience with Open Architecture concepts, including Open Architecture DCGS

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Networking certification
