IT Configuration Manager

Key Role:

Provide planning and production support for configuration management (CM) functions, including CM life cycle management and planning, CM training, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting, configuration verification, and audit data management. Provide support for planning and producing a configuration control and management process that will assist with implementing and sustaining procedures for controlling modifications to baseline hardware, firmware, software, and documentation to ensure the protection of the network infrastructure against improper modifications before, during, and after implementation. Provide support for planning and producing a process for reporting and recording changes to installed baseline equipment, equipment configuration specifications, and site locations. Provide support for planning and producing a process for documenting, tracking, and maintaining the configuration of systems, including hardware and software data, and equipment, using the Configuration Management Professional (CMPro) software application.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with IT

-3+ years of experience as a configuration manager supporting IT programs

-Secret clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

-Institute of Configuration Management CMII Comprehensive Certification 

-National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Certified Configuration and Data Specialist (CCDS) Certification

-ITIL Practitioner Certification

-8570.01M Compliance IAT level II Certification prior to start date or obtain within 60 days required

-Ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs

-Ability to commit to continuous development and improvement​

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
