IT Policy and Strategy Analyst

Key Role:

Work with government organizations to analyze information technology (IT) assets and programs with the goal of improving the performance of core operations and mission support. Analyze an organization's mission from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives, by identifying core and enabling functions and capabilities. Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering and identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex data sets. Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products. Develop creative and innovative solutions to client issues and project approaches. Lead the development of written plans to detail recommendations for transition or implementation of new technologies and brief results to senior-level military leadership. Conduct or contribute to IT analysis projects in all phases of planning, methodology design, analysis, recommendations, and oversight of execution plans.

Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience in a professional work environment, including in a military or government setting

-Experience with developing executive-level documents and presentations, including for General Officer or Senior Executive Service leadership

-Experience with facilitating military or government leadership conferences and working groups

-Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Knowledge of DoD or Marine Corps policy and guidance related to one or more of the following fields: IT Service Management, IT Governance, Cybersecurity, Electronic Warfare, or Information Operations

-Ability to apply a variety of accepted analytical techniques to generate supporting data and solve technical problems

-Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, and multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously

-Secret clearance

-BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the administration or design of SharePoint or similar collaborative environments

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BS degree in a technical field preferred

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
