IT Project Manager

Key Role:

Serve as an IT project manager responsible for managing software development projects in accordance with the client’s established systems development life cycle. Support the planning, design, testing, and implementation of complex and technical requirements.  Develop and maintain resource loaded project plans, manage, monitor, and report on project and financial status, and identify and mitigate risks and issues. Manage deliverables and interface with federal and contracted staff clients and project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion, including applying expertise with modern systems delivery methodologies, such as Agile, DevOps, and Cloud.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with IT project management, including software development project management
-3+ years of experience in working with software development teams, including managing projects using various SDLC frameworks, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
-3+ years of experience with Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft SharePoint
-Experience with all Microsoft Office applications

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with CA Agile Central or Rally or other tools supporting agile software development
-Knowledge of best practices related to DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, Cybersecurity, or Cloud

-Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff of different skills and seniority

-Possession of excellent facilitation and cross-functional team facilitation skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written and oral communication skills

-Agile Certification, including Certified Scrum Master, ICAgile Certification, or SAFe
