IT Project Manager

Key Role:

Support the planning, design, development, and implementation of various client organization system development and infrastructure projects, assisting project stakeholders, both federal and other contractor staff, in the resolution of complex technical and non-technical project issues. Document all aspects of the project in accordance with the client's established and documented System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Project Management Guide, and financial planning and execution guidelines supported by the client's enterprise program management processes. Collaborate with the client organization in comprehending and coordinating the assigned project with other ongoing or related projects and other identified client initiatives. Prepare or present various project related aspects, including project plans, technical designs, solutions, risks and issues, mitigation plans, and resource summaries, as requested to client decision makers and stakeholders. This position is located in Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with IT program and project management, including in software development project management

-4+ years of experience with Microsoft Project Professional and Microsoft SharePoint
-3+ years of experience with Agile Project Management methodologies, including managing projects in accordance with the Agile Scrum framework
-Experience with leading and integrating elements of complex projects to achieve results by setting strategically aligned goals
-Ability to provide guidance and direction to staff of different skill sets and seniority

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Agile tools supporting agile development

-Experience with all Microsoft Office applications
-Experience with using configuration management tools

-Knowledge of ITIL

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent facilitation and cross-functional team facilitation skills

-Agile Certified, including Certified Scrum Master, ICAgile or SAFe Certification
