IT Strategist/Governance Analyst Lead

Key Role:

Serve in a highly visible role and partner with CIOs or CTOs and their staff ensuring the right mix of initiatives align with IT strategic objectives, business goals, and internal or external compliance needs. Drive the adoption of Lean and Agile PMO tools, processes, and methodologies to accelerate the planning, oversight, and execution of IT initiatives. Apply project management and technical experiences to modernize the client’s IT governance practices and principles to increase assurance of continuous compliance integration, faster delivery of changes, and improved linkages between strategy and execution. Serve as a transformation steward fostering change to operationalize technical governance frameworks, including Cloud, data, or DevOps governance models. Conduct IT strategy and governance assessments to recommend solutions for improving oversight and decisions-making to drive IT initiatives. Establish IT portfolio frameworks and views to create systematic analyses of assets, services, and capabilities based on leadership priorities. Conduct IT portfolio analyses and recommendations to support IT prioritization in alignment with business needs and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with IT PMO and IT governance

-4+ years of experience with project management, including IT and public-sector organizations

-4+ years of experience with IT strategy and design disciplines, including enterprise architecture, IT investment management, and IT project management

-4+ years of experience with IT portfolio management

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with diverse, integrated teams and engaging senior client staff, director, product owner, and technical or functional staff

-Knowledge of project management and implementation techniques, process reengineering, change management, and portfolio management frameworks and processes

-Ability to establish and scale IT governance and portfolio activities in alignment with strategic planning and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives

-Ability to be a resourceful, analytical problem-solver taking the initiative to research IT best practices and the client’s business objectives to deliver the right governance, PMO, and portfolio solutions

-Ability to apply technical expertise to identify key issues and resolutions aligned to the overall mission and objectives
