IT Strategist, Lead

Key Role:

Integrate business goals and objectives with specific IT strategies, programs, initiatives, and investments. Advise organizational leadership on emerging technologies and how to implement them and work alongside leadership to ensure IT and business planning are fully integrated on a continuous basis to increase business capability and value, reduce cost and risk, foster innovation, and maximize accountability and return on investment. Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious. Work under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Determine and pursue courses of action necessary to obtain preferred results. Perform work that is checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than by the formal review of a superior.

Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with IT

-Experience with supporting IT Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), IT Portfolio Management project portfolio management processes, or IT investment analytics

-Experience with developing data collection strategies and designing and implementing portfolio management and investment analyses to produce decision-enabling information

-Experience with project performance, programmatic, or budget data collection, analysis, and reporting

-Experience in leading and planning complex tasks with daily client interaction

-Ability to meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, and ensure that any conflicts are brought to the management team

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-MA or MS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with DHS or its components

-Experience with using Portfolio Management software solutions

-Experience with strategic planning, governance, or performance management 

-Experience with developing process models using BPMN or UML, applying EA methodologies and frameworks, including FEA, TOGAF, DODAF, or Zachman, or employing MS Visio or other architecture modeling tools preferred

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
