IT Strategist/Transformation Agent, Lead

Key Role:

Manage the research, design, and development of IT strategy products to conduct assessments helping clients to achieve critical CIO and CTO initiatives, including DevOps adoption, Cloud migration, and Open Data agendas. Leverage technical expertise as a creative thinker to work with varying technical and business SMEs to evaluate the current landscape, blueprint the way ahead, chart the roadmap, and lead the implementation of the roadmap to achieve success. Provide and engage in strategic outreach to stakeholders, analyze potential technology solutions, and characterize service, AppDev, Cloud operational, organizational, and other capabilities. Provide industry best practices, new patterns, and principles to transform clients’ advanced use of their technical landscape. Provide IT assessments to synthesize data, identify trends, develop predictive findings, and evaluate impacts on goals to develop strategic insights. Perform and implement measurable objectives, key results, and KPIs frameworks to evaluate the proficiency of IT competencies and provide and maintain close partnerships with various technical and functional groups to influence and gain support for driving forward critical CIO and CTO initiatives. Assist with acting as a champion and change agent for leading organizational changes to stand-up and support CIO and CTO initiatives.


Basic Qualifications:

-6+ years of experience with defining, establishing, leading, and implementing technology transformation projects

-3+ years of experience with conducting IT strategy assessments, capturing current and target state, and building actionable recommendations and roadmaps

-2+ years of experience with technology scouting, technology R&D, or IT product development

-2+ years of experience with Agile software development or architecture initiatives

-Ability to analyze data and situations quickly to comprehend, capture, illustrate, and communicate identified issues and recommendations to influence course of action

-Ability to work with C-suite staff to capture and map IT and business capabilities across various portfolio groupings to better inform CIO and CTO oversight and strategic planning efforts 

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with leading and supporting technology strategies and roadmap execution in client environments for alignment with overall goals and objectives

-Experience with learning and using emerging technologies, concepts, and patterns to develop proof of concepts, assessment tools, and transformation roadmaps

-Knowledge of performing deep-dive technical activities with application, data, and infrastructure teams, as needed

-Knowledge of Cloud, DevOps, Agile, Big Data, Design Thinking, Agile Software Delivery, or similar areas preferred

-Knowledge of business case analysis, business process analysis, business transformation, organizational change management, or a similar area preferred

-Knowledge of IT requirements analysis, operations and logistics, organizational analysis and design, performance management, program management, and project management preferred

-Ability to serve as the hands-on technical strategist across a variety of initiatives, ranging from shaping Open Data agenda, capturing Cloud environments, and evaluating Agile practices

-Ability to problem solve, structure and conduct analyses, and synthesize disparate qualitative and quantitative data to generate trends, insights, and recommendations to drive improvements and identify solutions

-Ability to develop recommendations and solutions, bridging the gap between the organization’s high-level mission, vision, and capabilities and the people, process, and technical solutions, considering identified constraints and existing technology

-Ability to demonstrate excellent project management expertise and multi-task, prioritize, meet short-turn deadlines, and collaborate across the team and business

-Ability to build trusted relationships across stakeholders to better align IT and business priorities to formulate and execute short- long-term strategies    

-Ability to identify, integrate, and influence technical, data, operational, and organizational transformations through partnerships with senior leaders, functional staff, and various stakeholders

-Ability to research, conceptualize, and create IT strategy tools and products tailored for clients’ initiatives and organizational needs, including DevOps assessments or Cloud migration roadmaps

-Ability to learn new technical concepts, practices, and principles on the fly to create system design plans from stakeholder intake

-Ability to scout IT trends, apply industry IT patterns and practices, and apply actionable applied solutions across CIO and CTO focus areas

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate with senior business and technical decision makers, technologists, functional SMEs, and other stakeholders regarding findings and recommendations effectively
