IT Sustainment Planner

Key Role:

Ensure the AF–DCGS sustainment plan aligns with established roadmaps, adhere to the enterprise architecture, collect and triage all service use and sustainment data, and design, plan, and present strategic and cross–organizational rationalization and optimization of AF–DCGS services for modernization and sustainment planning and execution. Identify, analyze, and execute processes and procedures required to transition and modernize AF–DCGS from legacy IT sustainment to OA itemize cost drivers and offer plans to influence and reduce sustainment costs over the life cycle of the weapon system. Apply logistics knowledge to perform various tasks for the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective systems support strategy. Analyze disposition plans for non–reusable equipment, including unclassified and classified in accordance with governing policies, ensure proposed transition plan processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations, and meet applicable government and industry standards, including CMMI, AS9100, ISO9001, and AFI 16–1404.


Basic Qualifications:

-5 years of experience with AF DCGS operations, modernization, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment support

-Knowledge of materiel management functions for a DoD weapon system and weapon system sustainment planning intended to cover the total life cycle of the weapon system

-Ability to provide strategic and technical advice regarding AF–DCGS weapon system software, hardware, infrastructure, and sustainment issues

-Ability to generate and present findings, presentations, and reports and engage with government clients, executive leadership, staff support, and internal and external stakeholders

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering or CS and 5 years of experience with AF–DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment or 10 years of experience with AF–DCGS operations, planning, policy, acquisition, and sustainment in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree


Additional Qualifications: 

-Experience with tactical intelligence collection systems and sensors, SIGINT, GEOINT, Multi–INT, intelligence product production and dissemination, communication systems, and ATM and IP networking technologies

-Experience with Open Architecture concepts

-Knowledge of Open Architecture DCGS

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Active TS/SCI clearance preferred

-Networking Certification

-Lean Six Sigma Certification, including Green or Black Belt

-SAFe Methodologies or Agile Execution Certification, including SAFe Agilist or Practitioner, CSM, or CSPO

-ITIL or ITSM Certification

-PMP Certification
