IT Systems Administration and Assurance, Senior

The Challenge:

As an IT Systems Administrator and Assurance lead on our project, you will support installation and operations and maintenance of DoD IT systems while satisfying client requirements and intelligence assurance or Cybersecurity controls. You will most likely evaluate and recommend hardware or software products, train on new technologies, and provide technical guidance and training to junior administrators. You will also support standard operating procedures, refine processes, and identify best practices for system and network administration. You will also be responsible to support information assurance processes to maintain system accreditation.  As required, you will troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues to support mission operations.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll support installation and operations and maintenance of DoD IT systems while satisfying client requirements and intelligence assurance or Cybersecurity controls., evaluate and recommend hardware or software products, train on new technologies, and provide technical guidance and training to junior administrators, Troubleshoot, resolve, and document system issues to support mission operations. You’ll help customers overcome the challenges that come with information assurance processes with DevOps tools like Chef and Puppet. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and recommend new web component-related software and tools. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you guide your clients through migration planning and implementation. You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with system administration in network management
  • Experience with monitoring, scanning, patching, and maintaining physical and virtual machines
  • Knowledge of networked computing architectures
  • Knowledge of communications protocols and data formats
  • Knowledge of network routers, IP security, and Cloud computing
  • Knowledge of DoD STIG's and the NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network solutions and IT issues
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS degree or 8+ years of experience with systems administration

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with tools, including VMware, ACAS, HBSS, container virtualization, network auditing, firewalls, routers, switches, identity and access management, and Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of military operations centers
  • Ability to providing executive-level briefings to senior government and military leaders on complex technology issues
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills
  • BS degree in IT or related technical field preferred; MA or MS degree a plus

Clearance:
