IT Systems/Platform Administrator

Key Role:

Maintain the operations of software application development, implementation, and delivery for an infrastructure that spans five environments with a mixture of Cloud-based IaaS and PaaS. Maintain and use DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, and AWS Lambda as part of the infrastructure management. Maintain responsibility for automated delivery of application changes using continuous delivery and continuous integration application, combined with a variety of scripting languages, including Bash or Shell and Python. Maintain GitHub as a source control repository for application source code, including branch structure and privileges. Maintain responsibility for security vulnerability reporting on source code through Fortify and SonarQube scans and update certain environments manually by using SQL database scripts and deployment of the compiled application onto a JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform (EAP). Act as an application administrator for system accesses and accounts management and use DoD Managed Platform Service (MPS) to deploy scheduled software releases into the production environment. Troubleshoot, resolve, and mitigate deployment failures and routine system troubleshooting and maintenance. Interact and support the team using Agile and Scrum environments with tools, including Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and DI2E BitBucket.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with Bash programming language, including Red Hat Linux (RHEL), MySQL, and Structure Query Language

-Experience with Amazon Web Services

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree or 5+ years of experience with IT systems administration

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)

-Experience with Git or GitHub

-Experience with Jenkins or a similar continuous integration application

-Knowledge of scripting or programming languages, including Python and log aggregating applications, including Splunk

-Knowledge of Hanscom MilCloud environment or DoD Managed Platform Services (MPS)

-Knowledge of the rules of networking, including policies, ports, and protocols

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to convey and relay security subject matter to the client and internal or external agencies
