Java Developer

Key Role:

Perform complex analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of Mulesoft based applications and APIs built to support a variety of enterprise systems. Perform software design, integration architecture, and development. Work as part of a team with little supervision. Assist with training junior software engineering staff.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with software application development
-2 years of experience with supporting or developing enterprise applications

-Experience with Java and object-oriented programming, API data feeds, ingestion techniques, data mapping, data modeling, dependency injection, abstract classes and interfaces, access specifiers, collections, generics, exceptions, multithreading and synchronization, and coding

-Experience with Spring

-Experience with enterprise integration patterns, including asynchronous messaging, transformation, routing, and filtering

-Experience with designing Web services, including REST and SOAP APIs and formal software development life cycle methodologies and tools, such as Agile and JIRA, the API life cycle, solution architecture, technical documentation, such as logical and physical architecture, and systems design artifacts

-Ability to demonstrate logical analysis and creative problem-solving and collaborate in an enterprise team environment

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in working with an ESB technology, including Mulesoft, Apache Camel, or OpenESB

-Experience with RAML as a REST API definition language

-Experience with microservices design, Spring framework, or message queuing

-Experience with Docker, continuous integration, automated testing, and DevOps

-Experience with supporting enterprise finance systems, including Deltek CostPoint, JAMIS, or SAP

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Ability to obtain a security clearance
