Java Software Engineer

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems or applications software. Plan system and development deployment and maintain responsibility for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of an overall system. Document testing and maintenance of system corrections. Leverage the use or application of technical principles, theories, and concepts and develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope. Work closely supervised while following specific, detailed instructions. Contribute to the completion of routine technical tasks and maintain contact primarily with the immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the section or group.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with Java development, including Java EE technologies, such as Spring, Hibernate, and JSF 

-2 years of experience with the Web-based development, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS 

-1 years of experience with technology delivery, including custom Web solutions development

-Experience with SDLC methodologies 

-Top Secret clearance 

-BA or BS degree 

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Web Services technologies, including RESTful, SOAP, and Extensible Markup Language (XML)

-Experience with technologies, including JSON, jQuery, LDAP, SQL, Oracle RDBMS, Ozone Widget Framework (OWF), JPA and Hibernate, and Maven 

-Ability to effectively work on multiple assignments to prioritize tasks and report progress as appropriate 

-Possession of excellent organizational skills in a rapidly changing environment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to present to both external and internal audiences on the designs and methodologies used
