Joint Exercise Planner

Key Role:

Identify, analyze, and evaluate training objectives for participating organizations based on the commander's training guidance. Design exercise scenarios or constructs and event injects related to natural disasters, hazards, or adversary threats to support homeland defense and security missions. Perform exercise control and collect observations and perform assessments and post-event analysis. Report results of exercise play and help to facilitate after-action reviews. Prepare briefings and reports on lessons learned and exercise results.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience in military exercise planning and support, including the use of appropriate tools and processes, such as the JTIMS, JOPES, DRRS, JMSEL, and other Joint Training System tools

-Experience with Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) planning, development, and implementation processes

-Experience with writing technical reports and briefs that summarize observations and assessments from military training or exercise events

-Knowledge of the DoD Joint Training System or the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)

-Ability to work independently

-TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience as a project or task leader

-Experience in space domain operations and two non-ICBM areas of expertise, including Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Missile Warning (MW), space tactics, or imagery analysis

-Experience with space deliberate and crisis action planning

-Experience with space launch and SATCOM or PNT operations

-Training in Space 300 Curriculum and Space Warfighter, Joint or Combined Air Operations Center Senior Staff Courses
