Joint Operations Technician, Senior

Key Role:
Initiate emergency procedures and Crisis Action Team notifications, update Joint displays showing the status of any current operations, activities, and actions, and maintain the readiness data and contact information of any unit currently in South Korea. Analyze the management and daily operations of the client and obtain or exchange information pertinent to emergency support plans and activities. Evaluate, analyze, and disseminate information of interest to the client manager and relay information through various communication equipment to the appropriate personnel. Record action taken, equipment assigned, and pertinent information into proper databases and examine, analyze, and interpret data from a variety of resources, including interrelated electronic monitoring instruments, visual displays, area maps, news reports, and electronic mail to detect either normal or abnormal conditions of the area. Copy, validate, process, and relay the message to appropriate personnel and provide support during Joint Forces exercises or emergencies as a member of the client’s emergency response team in a timely manner and without error. Exchange information with other emergency response agencies, coordinate data collection and reporting, coordinate with field personnel, prepare briefings or situation reports, and assist the client manager with briefing key staff on significant emergency situations and providing situational assessments requiring response and recommendations for action. Assist with messages for the directorate, including processing, transferring to the appropriate network, and analyzing the development and dissemination of messages into and out of the directorate.

Basic Qualifications:
-1 year of experience in a command post at the component, Joint Staff, or MACOM level
-Experience with Joint Staff operations
-Active Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
-Possession of excellent Korean language skills
-Top Secret clearance
