Journeyman Software Developer

Key Role:

Perform software development and support the designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting of new or existing software and define and recommend system enhancements and solutions for IT problems. Create supporting development and system documentation and meet project deadlines in a timely manner. Analyze, recommend, and implement proposed new technologies. Maintain responsibility for the development, support, and optimization of mobile software and operating systems. Develop software responsible for interfacing directly with hardware components. Take end-to-end product and features ownership from design to implementation, including maintaining responsibility for code roll-out and responding to client issues. Collaborate with product management and other engineering, operations, and QA teams to develop innovative solutions to meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to development goals and principles.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Java, C#, C+, .NET, or SharePoint development

-Knowledge of the software development life cycle

-Knowledge of Web-based applications

-Knowledge of CS fundamental, data structures, algorithms, and software design

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED

-Ability to demonstrate an aptitude for software testing and quality

-Ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
