Knowledge Management Specialist

Key Role:

Assist the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACoS) and Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) with implementing a Knowledge Management (KM) methodology for sharing knowledge to ensure access to critical knowledge required in support of successful mission execution. Leverage KM expertise in support of implementing and managing KM initiatives that drive knowledge creation, capture, sharing or collaboration, use, and transfer. Maintain front-end support for sites, while making recommendations and executing KM strategies, plans, processes, tools, KM assessments, meeting management practices, and participation in KM working groups. Ensure policies, governance, and SOPs are reviewed, maintained, and updated. Promote and support an organizational culture of innovation and learning. Guide and recommend the integration of new and current IT, IM, and KM tools. Provide KM expertise to the USAR in support of its mission and battle rhythm development and coordinating with external knowledge sources and integrating them into the organizational knowledge network.

Basic Qualifications:

-1+ years of experience with KM in a professional work environment

-Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2013

-Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, KM fundamentals, and KM tools

-Experience with desk-side support and guiding non-SharePoint users to learn and adopt SharePoint solutions

-Knowledge of KM principles, procedures, and processes

-Knowledge of the Army

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with developing, designing, editing, and presenting training on KM tools and concepts

-Experience with leveraging KM applications through organizational analysis

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail and accuracy of information

-Ability to organize large amounts of data setting priorities for analysis and use in consultation with stakeholders

-Ability to work independently or in a team setting

-Ability to coordinate and build relationships with diverse and executive-level clients

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Civilian or Army KM Certifications, including Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) preferred

Clearance:
