LabVIEW Developer, Senior

Key Role:
Develop and apply advanced hardware or software design methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems. Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects, collaborating with a diverse set of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and other engineers in the performance of assigned projects. Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Review literature and the historical and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects. Recommend corrections to technical applications and analysis. Provide technical consultation to other organizations and work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
-8+ years of experience in working hands–on with LabVIEW 
-Experience with LabVIEW data acquisition functions in hardware, software, integration, and testing capacities and software development and architecture for platform or system design and integration
-Experience with LabVIEW software life cycle elements, including requirements design, software design, and test plan documentation
-Experience with User Datagram Protocol (UDP) communication, including using the LabVIEW environment to communicate multiple subsystems or TCP/IP or other communications protocols 
-Experience with device driver development, integration, and testing
-Knowledge of architectures, including queued–state machines, engines, master clusters, parallel data analysis, and event–driven states
-Knowledge of hardware and software platforms, including PXI, cRIO, LabVIEW, or Veristand, when to use globals, functional globals, locals, references, and property nodes accordingly, and how to conduct LabVIEW development in both traditional data–driven and object–oriented environments
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
-Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Agile software development, printed circuit board (PCB) development and testing, embedded software or firmware, field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs), high voltage (HV) systems, fiber optics, and C++ or Java
-Ability to enable focused development activities proactively without significant direction or supervision
-Ability to convey the status of program technical efforts to management in an effective and efficient manner
-BS degree in EE, CS, or ME
-Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) Certification
