Launch and Range Operations Analyst

Key Role:

Provide subject matter expert (SME) support to the headquarters (HQ) of an Air Force Command's staff action officers, including addressing operations and issues impacting the operations of their ranges. Integrate range priorities with other client HQ organizations to support policy, programming, planning, and budget execution processes and forums. Lead, develop, and support a variety of studies associated with the launch and range enterprise. Provide continuing range requirements development support throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle, including development and operational system testing. Provide SME input to action officers on how to organize, train, and equip questions and tasks from client HQ leadership, organizations, and government. Create staff packages, develop tasker responses, integrate and collaborate on cross client efforts, perform document review and comment, execute security classification reviews, attend, organize, and schedule meetings, and perform the necessary functions to complete formal taskers, including producing meeting minutes and providing SME support.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with a launch and test range system (LTRS)

-Experience with ongoing range boards, integrated product teams (IPTs) and forums focused on operations, sustainment, and modernization of the client's ranges

-Experience in the client's interactions with DoD, government, and other Air Force entities

-Knowledge of government processes for interaction with the DoD, including how to respond to queries and legislative language provided by the government

-Knowledge of government policy is made and how it impacts client operations

-Knowledge of client range systems and current or future architectures

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with an Air Force Command

-Knowledge of launch and range activity

-Ability to work independently

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent time management and analytical skills

-Top Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree
