Launch and Test Range System Logistics Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary government and industry team to facilitate expeditious weapon system acquisition and cost-effective sustainment. Provide technical and management discipline associated with design, development, testing, production, including fielding, sustainment, and improvement or modification of cost effective systems that achieve readiness and sustainability requirements. Develop and implement logistic plans that affect the production, distribution, and inventory of finished products to enhance product flow. Analyze the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control. Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory and analyze requirements, and develop strategies to achieve needed delivery times and order fill rates. Maintain appropriate records and prepare reports and coordinate logistical activities with internal and external clients. Assist with producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support the breadth of acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts. This position is located in Vandenberg AFB, CA.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with LTRS DMSMS and logistics challenges

-Experience with logistics management information, integrated logistics support (ILS) product data summaries to include provisioning spares data, support equipment recommendation data (SERD), level of repair analysis (LORA), and source maintainability recoverability (SMR) coding recommendations

-Experience with technical manual (TO) and software user manual (SUM) requirements, including contractor-furnished equipment notices (CFENs)

-Experience with assessing training requirements

-Experience with reliability and maintainability (R&M) analysis data, including FMECA and the Failure Analysis and Correction Action Report (FACAR)

-Experience with assessing service or maintenance agreements, licenses, and warranties

-Experience with the development and assignment of work unit codes (WUCs)

-Knowledge of the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS)

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills
