Launch Communications and IT Operations Analyst

Key Role:

Leverage IT and communications engineering expertise and support to key National Security Space (NSS) launch and satellite program offices at launch base operating locations. Provide a broad spectrum of communications support, including space launch communications system technical documentation, secure voice, and video and network design and planning for mission rehearsals and launch operations. Ensure communications requirements are identified and submitted to service providers in support of mission needs and maintain the communications backbone. Perform network services from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrade. Perform engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and audiovisual enhancement. Assist senior government officials, operations personnel, and program management with network interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with designing and integrating solutions for different types of network devices and interfaces

-5+ years of experience with configuring, deploying, testing, and maintaining communication and IT systems

-3+ years of experience with gathering data to specify system and component performance and interface requirements to optimize network reliability and throughput
-3+ years of experience with implementing network solutions to support server requirements, including load balancing, firewall contexts, traffic shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), and Network address translation (NAT), appropriately

-Active TS/SCI clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Cloud development and data migration

-Experience with designing and enhancing applications using the .NET framework and program language, including C#, Serena, ASP, SQL, and VBScript

-Knowledge of integration across voice, video, and network communication systems

-Knowledge of NSS client’s organizational structure

-Ability to multi–task and adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and government policy

-Ability to interact well with cross–functional teams and working environments

-Ability to interface with internal and external customers

-Ability to perform analysis and assessment

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree in CS or Information Systems
