Law Enforcement Administrative Specialist

Key Role:

Provide administrative support to a government law enforcement client in a task force environment, including drafting correspondence and ensuring proper grammar and adherence to style requirements. Route correspondence to the proper individual or respond directly, as assigned, and file copies in accordance with established procedures. Assist with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, the purchase of office supplies and equipment, office moves and setting up office space for new employees, including assignment and issuance of computers, telephones, cell phones, and office furniture, arranging telephone moves and repairs and repairs of fax machines, copiers, and other equipment, performing timekeeper duties, as assigned, and filing and distributing copies of documents and forms in accordance with federal regulations and department and office policies. Process and file contracts, purchase order requests, purchase card requests, and approval of forms. Assist with special projects, including PowerPoint presentations and assembling binders of documents and receive training forms and records, including routing them to the appropriate party or files, as required. Provide advance travel paperwork to employees and assist with arranging travel, including transportation, accommodations, and vouchering. Escort visitors and vendors to the office or refer them to the proper individual, as appropriate and respond to telephone calls to the office and refers to the proper individual, as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

-2 years of experience with administrative work

-Knowledge of supporting the travel of federal employees

-Ability to type in excess of 40 words per minute, use a computer for the purposes of drafting and editing correspondence, and deal with individuals at all organizational levels effectively

-Active Secret clearance required

-AA or AS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
