Learning Systems Instructional Designer

Key Role:

Analyze and research client's learning requirements, expectations, resources, audience, learning gaps, and critical tasks, including available software, technology, and infrastructure available to meet client’s needs. Design and develop curricula according to instructional principles and client’s needs and objectives. Convert written material and training requirements to leverage instructional technologies. Develop detailed storyboards and flow diagrams to translate learning objectives into highly interactive instruction, including design instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media. Support and develop learning development practices that are structured, streamlined, including transfer information to the team according to best practices for instructor-led training, eLearning, Web-based training, virtual classroom, flipped classroom, action learning, job aids, and performance support. Implement practices related to production of educational materials, structure content rolled-out to instructors to facilitators, students, including follow general consulting and project management principles. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), technical, and creative talent to design and development learning solutions.


Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with ADDIE instructional design model

-Experience working with SMEs and multimedia developers to design and produce distributed learning products or multimedia assets

-Ability to storyboard highly interactive Web and mobile-based training

-BA or BS degree


Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with building and maintaining client relationships

-Experience with leveraging instructional technology, including mobile learning solutions, virtual or augmented reality to meet performance outcomes

-Possession of excellent oral and communication skills

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills

-Secret clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Education or Instructional Design or IT related program of study or MA or MS degree in Instructional Design or IT
