Legal Operations Lead

Key Role:

Lead operational and business activities, processes, and efforts to maximize the legal department’s ability to protect and enable the business. Identify and address the business operations and administrative needs of the department, and lead efforts to enhance processes across the legal department, including coordination of knowledge management, department records management, helpdesk article development and maintenance, and business continuity plan administration, and legal industry awareness. Coordinate with infrastructure corporate teams, and across the department to enable the legal department to operate efficiently, including facilities for space planning and offices, human resources for recruiting and performance management, vendor and law firm support. Ensure the coordination of fiscal year budget development and execution with finance department and team leads, including ongoing financial tracking and monthly reporting. Develop and maintain consolidated legal department reporting, including performance metrics, financials, program management reviews, and leveraging benchmarking survey results. Drive people initiatives to enhance engagement related operations, including onboarding, offboarding, meetings, off-sites, social events, mentoring program and communications. Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for the department, and ensure technology enablement with consistency of tools and resources for the department, including knowledge management tools and best practices.


Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with working in a professional environment

-6+ years of experience with working in legal operations with a record of accomplishment and driving results, including strategic planning, financial management, vendor management, technology management, and legal data analytics

-Experience with managing key financial controls needed to support legal operations successfully

-Experience with creating and delivering executive-level presentation

-Ability to manage multiple initiatives, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, and to solve problems and deal with complex situations

-Ability to synthesize discussions into actionable deliverables and collect, analyze, and use data to make, recommend or enable decisions 

-Ability to work with and influence a diversity of stakeholders at all levels internally and externally

-Ability to process information, learn quickly, and think critically to demonstrate a high degree of maturity, discretion, and integrity to handle sensitive, and confidential information

-BA or BS degree
