Legislative Affairs Senior Manager

Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for executing a legislative affairs program that complements key business strategies to advance Booz Allen’s position as a partner to the federal government. Partner closely with Booz Allen’s senior executives, the government go-to-market team, and the business units to further Booz Allen’s strategic objectives. Identify or create opportunities to highlight Booz Allen's contributions to the successful execution of targeted federal agency missions to congressional stakeholders and partner closely with key stakeholders across the company to drive legislative agenda, including addressing areas of risk as well as opportunity to highlight Booz Allen's contributions to targeted federal agency missions to congressional stakeholders. Drive revenue growth through building legislative strategies in cooperation with Corporate Affairs, Business Development, and market leaders. Facilitate meetings between senior Booz Allen business leaders and congressional stakeholders and represent Booz Allen with key industry and trade associations legislative representatives to ensure positions are aligned with Booz Allen's interests. Manage conflict effectively and master negotiations for optimal results for Booz Allen’s business interests. Ensure activities are in compliance with laws, Booz Allen policies, and ethical standards.


Basic Qualifications:

-10+ years of experience with public policy or leading people, defining strategy, establishing client relationships, delivering innovative solutions, and increasing profitability

-Experience with working collaboratively in government and members of both parties

-Experience with managing complex policy strategies over time towards a discreet and positive outcome

-Experience in establishing effective organizational brand visibility with key decision makers

-Experience in driving government affairs communications with key elected officials, regulators, agencies, and trade associations

-Knowledge of technology, including recognizing and assessing the impact of pertinent government policies

-Knowledge of legislative issues across defense and intelligence or civil agencies

-BA or BS degree required


Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent presentation skills, including addressing complex matters and solutions with senior leadership

-Possession of excellent judgement and leadership skills, including adhering to the highest ethical standards

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including expertise in presentations

-Active Top Secret clearance preferred
